Melody's Necklace

This is probably my favourite piece that i made this year. It was very hard to photograph because its long and narrow. I was asked to design a new piece of jewellery using the white sapphires in an old pair of earrings given to her from her Russian aunt. We decided on making a handmade chain with a binary code pattern around the chain spelling her name. The 1's would be stamped and the zero's made from the sapphires. It turned out i had exactly the right amount of sapphires needed to write her name. spooky.
